Rant # 2
I hate the expressions "overexaggeration" and "overexaggerated," especially when the 'x' is pronounced as a sibilant 's'. Of course, I hate this construction in its other forms as well. As if something cannot be hyperbolic, or even preposterous, enough if it's just exaggerated. No! There is no longer any emphasis if it is not overexaggerated. Admittedly, it is often only used by teenagers and YouTube commenters who know no better. But, think about it, they'll grow up set in their ignorant ways, possibly changing the language for the worst. Or am I 'overessageratin'?
